Amazing Adaptations! – Nature Storytime

Learn about special adaptations used by plants and animals that enhance their ability to survive in the wild. The presentation will include live birds and a reptile to highlight some of these adaptations.

Join Christian W. Cold, for a special Nature Storytime.  Mr. Cold is a retired wildlife technician and educator for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Bureau of Wildlife Management. Based at Ladysmith, he continues to serve as a mobile, non-formal educator, who travels extensively throughout Wisconsin offering programs on wildlife and related topics of natural history to schools and adult audiences. His presentations typically include the display and interpretation of live, native animals which he maintains for this purpose.

Nature Storytime is led by volunteer Kathy S. and includes a short story and fun activities. Recommended for children ages 3 – 9. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please dress appropriately for the weather, as some activities might be outside.
