Hundreds of glowing luminaries lit the way for a memorable fall evening at Straight Lake State Park on October 24. Cool autumn temperatures were perfect as visitors enjoyed a peaceful two-mile hike along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, experiencing the beauty of the Wisconsin woods after dark.

The adventure began with a ride aboard the Balsam Lake Trolley, which shuttled participants to the trailhead. Near the end of the luminary-lit route, warming fires offered a cozy retreat from the chilly air, while refreshments and snacks added to the welcoming atmosphere.

With flickering lights, crackling fires, and a touch of autumn magic, the evening was a wonderful reminder that Straight Lake State Park shines even after the sun goes down!
