The weekend of September 19 and 20 was loaded with lots of fun and and activities for all who visited the park. More than 225 visitors took part in the activities and programs as we celebrated the start of fall and Interstate Park’s 126th anniversary. We want to thank all the volunteers, staff, presenters, and others who made the weekend possible.
Saturday, September 19
Saturday was dedicated to arts and crafts, animal pelts and scat, and snacks in the Ice Age Center classroom. Additionally, park visitors were greeted by a special appearance of EDDY (Education & Discovery Delivered to You) at the Ice Age Center in the Afternoon.

Sunday, September 20
Sunday also was dedicated to arts and crafts, animal pelts and scat, and snacks in the Ice Age Center classroom. In the morning, we also had a special drop-in program inviting people to explore the newly completed CCC Interpretive trail at the site of the CCC Camp Interstate. Individuals were treated to coffee, lemonade and three different cookies made using recipies from the CCC Cookbook (available at Glacier’s Gifts gift shop at the Ice Age Center). The afternoon included a special program on the raptors of the Great Lakes region with Christian Cold. The presentation ended with live raptors!
