This past weekend, individuals attended a journaling workshop at Interstate Park, led by Lauren Hefty, a member of the St. Paul Artist Collective. Instead of using only words, this workshop focused on the creation of nature journals using colored pencils and the incorporation of drawings inspired by nature. After learning a few techniques in the classroom, participants headed outside to put their new skills to use. They incorporated the nature of Interstate Park into their journals. This included feathers, pine cones, wildlife and many other treasures of the forests. We hope to offer more workshops in the future!
