Nature Storytime provided an opportunity to learn about the stars and constellations. The classroom was full of of kids and pounding, as the children, moms, dads, grandmas and grandpas all helped in a make and take craft using nails and strings to make the big dipper constellation! Everyone was laughing, smiling and making noise! many learned how to use a hammer to drive nails into a board to make a picture of the Big Dipper with string that wrapped around the nails.
The constellations in the night sky are awesome. When you get a chance – look up at the night sky to see the Big Dipper and all the other stars! Enjoy!!
The day ended with a nature hike on the Skyline Trail and a game of animal hide and seek in the field.
