Tiny shovels find some pretty big wiggly worms at nature Storytime this week. Everyone had a shovel and looked hard to find the worms which were actually quite deep in the dirt. We looked for worms in the pine forest, on the trail and next to a tree. Four worms were found, studied and returned to the dirt.It was exciting for the kids to be able to observe and hold a worm after working diligently to find them. A worm habitat also provided the kids with a close up look at worm tunnels underground. A great time of exploration!

Nature Storytime is led by volunteer Kathy S. and includes a short story and fun activities. Recommended for children ages 3 – 9. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please dress appropriately for the weather, as some activities might be outside.
